Name of Product: Trim Assembly Kits for Recessed Light Fixtures

Hazard: Heat from the light bulb can cause the fixture’s plastic trim to soften and melt, causing the trim and lens to fall. This can result in laceration injuries to nearby consumers.

Incidents/Injuries: Progress Lighting has received four reports of the trims melting. No injuries have been reported.

Description: Trim assembly kits involved in this recall attach to recessed light fixtures installed primarily in bathroom ceilings. The trim assemblies include a 7 3/4-inch white plastic ring, a glass lens and a metal reflector. Affected models were made in China and have model numbers: 8009-60, 8010-60 or 8011-60. The model number and country of manufacture are located on a sticker attached to the inside and outside of the reflector. Models made in Mexico are not included this recall.

Name of Product: DEWALT DC305 Model Reciprocating Saws

Hazard: The switch on these saws can short circuit, posing a fire hazard.

Incidents/Injuries: DEWALT has received four reports of short circuits in the switch of these saws. One of these incidents was a report of a fire resulting in extensive damage, though the cause of this fire has not been confirmed. Another fire reportedly resulted in minor damage, and the other two incidents resulted in melting damage to the units. No injuries were reported.

Description: This recall involves cordless DEWALT DC305 model reciprocating saws with date codes 200601-49 through 200640-49. They are yellow and black and about 18 inches long. The model number is located on the name plate on the side of the housing and the date code is located under the handle where the battery is inserted.

Sold at: Major home centers and hardware stores nationwide from May 2006 through November 2006 for between $380 and $800.

Name of Product: BABYBJÖRN® Feeding Spoons

Hazard: After extended use, the soft plastic tip on the feeding spoon can loosen and break off, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Incidents/Injuries: No incidents have been reported in the United States. BabySwede has received 11 reports of the plastic loosening on the spoons in other countries. No injuries have been reported.

Description: The recalled feeding spoons were sold under the brand name “BABYBJÖRN,” which is printed along the front side of the spoon’s handle. The spoons were sold in one package containing two spoons. The spoons are about 6-1/2 inches in length, with a soft, flexible plastic tip sold in two color combinations: blue/red or green/yellow.

Sold at: Specialty juvenile product stores, catalogs and Internet sites from January 2001 through November 2006 for about $9.

Name of product: Holiday Timeâ„¢ Christmas Mug Gift Sets

Hazard: The buttons could detach from the plush characters sold with the mug gift sets, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The gift sets include a decorated ceramic mug and a stuffed Santa, snowman, or reindeer. The stuffed characters measure 7-inches tall and are made of fleece-like material. Two red and green buttons are sewn down the front of the characters. “©DanDee™ COLLECTOR’S CHOICE®” and the product’s UPC number are printed on the character’s sewn-in labels. UPC numbers are as follows: Santa 0 47475 45419 8, Snowman 0 47475 45429 7, Reindeer 0 47475 45439 6. “Holiday Time™” is printed on the character’s hang tag. The mug comes in three designs and measures 6-inches tall. The designs include a Santa with green background, a snowman with blue background, and a Christmas tree with green background.

Description: The recalled children's Gigantic Gemstone Ring toy is a silver-colored metallic ring with a large plastic gemstone. The gemstone colors include: blue, red, purple, green and clear. The rings were sold individually and as part of various party favor, costume and heirloom sets.

Sold at: Celebrate Express' Birthday Express, Costume Express and Storybook Heirloom Web sites and catalogs, and at the Birthday Express retail outlet store located in Kirkland, Wash. The recalled products were sold from October 2003 through October 2006 for about $1.50.
